Planning your NiteRide/Late NiteRide trip
NiteRide/Late Niteride have a Blue & Red route (as noted below). Important: The Blue route does not operate on Sunday.
You do not need to be at a point where a bus-stop sign is located in order to board a bus. The bus driver will stop and allow you to board or alight the bus at any corner where it is safe to stop. If the driver cannot stop at the point you wish to board or alight the bus, the driver will stop at the nearest possible location where it is safe to make the stop.
If the point at which you plan to board the bus is not listed under the heading “Bus leaves,” you may estimate the time that the bus will be passing that point by noting the time to the right of the listed bus stop that immediately precedes your boarding point.
The "Red Route" (route indicated in red dashes on the NiteRide Map) will run from 9:00pm to 1:00am, Monday through Saturday, and 7:00pm to 1:00am on Sunday. From approximately 11:00pm to 1:00am, NiteRide operates only between Raab Road and the Illinois State Student Recreation Building at 500 N. Beech Street.
Note the following schedule when traveling to or from College Hills Mall or any point west of the Student Recreation Building:
The "Blue Route" (route indicated in blue dashes on the NiteRide map) will run from 7:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday (with one bus only) through campus as shown on the map.
NiteRide/Late NiteRide is scheduled to operate seven days a week on the following scheduled evenings.
